NEW MEMBERS TO THE CALUMET COUNTY AGRICULTURAL ASSOCIATION ALWAYS WELCOME
Anyone interested in promoting and working with the Calumet County Fair is encouraged to become a member of the Calumet County Agricultural Association.
How to Become a Member:
1. Fill out the application form.
2. Include a one time membership fee of $25.00. Your membership is lifetime.
3. Give or send the membership application to any member of the board of directors.
4. The application is presented at the next fair board meeting where the board of directors vote on the acceptance of the membership.
5. Upon acceptance you will receive a certificate of membership.
The Annual Stockholders Meeting is held the second Saturday of December. This is a membership meeting upon which old and new business is brought before the membership. As a member you will have the opportunity to vote on any motions brought before the membership. You will also be eligible to vote for new members to the board of directors. After one year of membership in the association you will also be eligible to become a candidate for the board of directors.

Budget and Finance Committee
• Set up of Fair budget
• Allocation of funds to committees
• Monitor and planning of spending of funds
• Work with treasurer as needed
• Set fees/contracts for income of racetrack, space rentals, camping
• Sponsorships / Foundation

Building and Grounds Committee

• Develop and implement a budget
• Evaluate and propose to the Board the carnival for the Fair for Board approval
• Implementation and coordination of approved carnival
• Recruit merchants and vendors for the Fair
• Coordinate vendors and merchants for the Fair
• Work with the Building and Grounds Committee for Fair layout
• Responsible for the coordination of Fair beverages and food stands
• Responsible for all contracts with vendors, merchants, beverages and food stands after approval by the Board. Contracts must be signed by designated person on Finance Committee
• Compliance issues as licenses, inspections, food safety and any necessary permits
Advertising and Promotions Committee
• Development and implement a budget
• Fairest of the Fair

• Pre-fair advertising
